Betrothal comprises of gifts and cash delivered to the bride's home by the groom, of which the bride's family will accept and return the reminder to avoid giving the impression of "selling" their daughter.

The betrothal empitomizes the sincerity towards the marriage between the bindings of 2 families and assures the bride's family that she will be well taken care of after marriage. It also shows the groom's financial dependability.

seems like there's nothing much to update on this blog now since we all have facebook... and even if I post the pictures, it's all duplicated as I will also upload the same set of pictures on facebook... so... I have decided to convert this blog... to my wedding planning blog...

I'm going to post pictures, on all the nice & interesting things that I have come across while preparing for the wedding... since dear is like... not so excited... and maybe not so interested in the planning... I just have to google on my own, and share with... everyone who are reading this blog... (not sure if anyone is still reading now)... I know Tang just read it few days ago...

This is the very interesting ang bao box that I just came across that made me have this urge to convert this blog into my wedding planning blog... Another reason is that I can refer back to this blog if I want to see what have I researched on so far... anything interesting??? Anything that makes me have the urge to... GET MARRIED!!!

Basically, this box is very unique in a way that there are 3 categories... so your guests can put their ang baos into the diff sections... after the dinner, the bride and bridegroom can sit in the hotel room and see who are the ppl who wants to contribute their ang baos to our house, travel or baby... I guess most ppl will choose baby... so after collecting the ang baos... we will allocate the ang bao $$ according to the 3 categories... so fun!!! but I think most prob we'll use the money to pay for the banquet... and the rest for honeymoon... since baby will come in few yrs time... lol...

Got so much to say recently... I realised I'm v emotional nowadays... Have I grown weaker instead of stronger? I was complaining to one of my colleague about it and tears actually start rolling down... why??? I'm not too sure abt it also... Whatever it is, I told myself I should not be affected by her anymore... I'll just do my job well, and progress and excel in whatever ways... OMG... can't believe it...

Met up with my ex colleagues last Friday... Dinner at Shokudu, and beer at (I duno whats the name of the bar)... its just opp chijmes, in raffles city itself... Haven drank for very long... and I just love the smooth feeling of Kilkenny... oops... Dear is so pissed when he found out that I drank Kilkenny... coz its sounds like "Kill Kenny"... lol... oh~ I didnt mean to kill u...

Sometimes, its feels gd not to be too "sober"... I finally know why ppl leave the company... for the better? or for the worse... I've been asking myself why are they leaving??? But now, I'm also considering to leave... After hearing many stories abt how ppl get cheated... I think so far I've not been cheated yet... Maybe I will someday... But those who chose to leave seems to be happier now... that those why chose to stay (like myself), feels sadder and sadder each day...

They were the ones who fought with me ever since I joined the company in May 2008... how times flies and I'm now into my 3rd year of the job... They were the ones whom I used to fight with, pick up quarrels and at the end of the day, we're still gd frenz... Couples should not work tog, gd frenz shd not work tog... I miss working with u guys... Really... the new comers just cannot fight at all...

Nowadays, I seldom fight with ppl... Have I lost my fighting spirit??? Or my fighting spirit had left with them...

To move on or stay?

Been very depressed recently... I'm also not sure why I am so affected by her... But I dreaded going to work... and I have to drag my feet to walk into office... I don't want to face her... dun wanna hear her voice... I simply just hate it...

My boss have been saying... look at her strong pts, dun always look at her weak pts... Got to help her becoz I'm more capable... but when I needed help, who is there to help me??? I can't stand ppl who are selfish, always care about themselves, self-centered, no team spirit... But why are we still keeping her when all of us feel that she's extra... Yes, one more person means one more pair of hands, but those hands aren't helping much... and most of the time, we have to solve her problems for her... Not only dislike her, she's affecting the department, affecting my progress, and affecting other department... almost everyone dislike her... so why???

What is the worst senario? It's to ask her to leave and we (the 2 of us) have to cover her job? Boss won't get someone else to come in? But what if I am the one who choose to leave? Can the 2 of them cover my job? Boss will definitely get someone in to replace me... What difference does it makes?

Everyone of us always feels that the grass on the other side is greener... The moon on the opp side is rounder... I agree that this is not always true... We will not know unless I get to the other side...But this is a risk... Risking myself to move on to the other side and hoping that the grass will be greener... If I found out that its not as green as what I think, then move on again... I believe I am still young, and is willing to learn... It shouldn't be that tough to find a new job...

But on the other hand, if I decided to leave... all the effort that I have put in will go down to the drain... Is it really worth it??? Should I stay or should I move on?

Although I have decided to stay for the time being... to achieve what I wanna achieve... to achieve my aim before I move on... I shall tolerate for the next 6 months and see how it goes... I really hate to be in this situation... I will stand firm that I will not help her unless needed... and if the no one is doing anything to salvage the situation... I'll move on... Since everyone feels that she deserve another chance, and then another chance, and then another chance... I'm not giving her anymore chances..

I BELIEVE I CAN DO IT!!! Just bit my lips and hang on...

I guess I should start blogging again… because I still find that this is the best way for me to voice out my happiness/unhappiness…

I have a lot of doubts… I do know that ppl do change… for the better, for the worse… somehow, I feel that he changed too… but one thing he probably nv change, is his love for me…

Maybe when 2 people get together, after sometime… everything that was once… “OK OK, yes dear” becomes “No, dun wan… see how… dun feel like doing this”. I’m getting more and more worried… and sometimes I dun even dare to mention it.., because I am not sure if he really, does MIND…

Like going for dinner…
Last time: Let’s go for dinner with my parents? He will say “OK, I dun mind”
Now: Let’s go for dinner with my parents? He will say “See how first”
Even picking them up and running errands seem very troublesome… Sigh… I think its really good to just depend on myself… Afterall, its my family…

Suddenly, I feel very depressed recently… Are these signs of depression?

I feel that I really contribute very little to my family. I only gave them $100-$150 per month, and used up the bulk of my pay for facial, manicure, pedicure, restaurants, shopping… even thou my pay has increased, I still feel that I am short of $$... Sometimes, I feel like bringing them out for dinner but I have to worry if dear minds…

Been worried about Mummy’s health… she quit her job coz she feels giddy, weak, hungry… probably due to gastric prob… excess stomach acid… asked her to see specialist, but she kept on visiting the TCM… and medicine dun seem ti work… whenever someone says where n where, which doc is gd, she will go… took her 2 months plus to agreed to see the western doc… and then another 2 mths to see the specialist (got to queue)… doc recommend to do a scope but she rejected. So doc gave her the medicine to try out and if still no signs of recovery, then go for the scope… after few days, she complained that the doc is not good. Medicine is not working. Suggest to go for a scope, but she dun wan to go back to CGH… I find out more from Joslyn who is working in Raffles Hospital, and when Joslyn wanna helped her to make appointment, she say wait… then she continue to visit the TCM… now… I really duno what she wants now… I feel very tired, having to juggle work, r/s, and family…

Even the Penang trip that I am looking forward to, I have not done any research… and have not even booked the hotels… damn exhausted and depressed…

There are lots of things that I wanna do, but right now, I just go home after work, play game or watch show, and sleep… I used to be very smart (as in not clever), but I just do whatever I feel like doing, go wherever I wan to go… but right now, there are a lot of things that I must consider… family, dear, work, money…

Lots of uncertainties… but I’m trying not to think abt everything… I just want to rest and sleep…

I've been kinda excited, or prob overly excited over the wedding... but seems like I'm the only one who is excited... been doing research on venues for solemnization, wedding banquets, bridal shops, photoshoots, etc... but its always I myself that is doing it... it feels like its just my wedding...

kinda disappointed and start to tink if the wedding will still carry on as what we have planned... maybe I think too much, but I'm the kind who likes to do lots of planning... for the present, for the future... seeing tat some of my frenz are busy preparing, and happily preparing for their weddings... how come my feelings are opposite from theirs???

visited the taiwan bridal fair yesterday... and I saw the photos are kinda similar to Koon kiat's wedding shots... decided to find out more and the prices are very attractive... $2880, after discount is $2500, and the photos are very pretty... but we're worried that its a scam... after doing some research on the singaporebrides forum, some ppl did signed up and went for their photoshoots... koon kiat's was taken at romantic life, but some ppl commented tat their photographers r freelance one... so not all come out to be v nice...

maybe I just put the whole thing aside 1st... haven been wanting to think abt it yet... even solemnization, I have narrowed down to a few places, but I've also put the whole thing on hold... very tiring to do it all by yourself...

just quarrelled with him last wk... and I dun really feel like going his place liao... it makes me feel v sad, although he might not mean it... or he's in a spite of anger... whatever it is, those harsh words keep repeating in my mind since that day... I did not utter a word all along and kept mum for the whole afternoon... forcing myself to slp and not to drop a tear... but then its realli damn unbearable... whats wrong with my attitude??? I DID NOT SHOW ANY ATTITUDE!!! even if I did, yours aren't any better... why is it always my fault??? I guess I feel more comfortable at my home... What's the future gonna be like???

Its been a long time since I last blogged. I guess I've been neglecting my blog because I have been posting pic on FB instead of this blog... BUT then, I feel that I should not neglect this blog totally... Its still a place where I can openly voice out my unhappiness/ happiness... to all my close frenz...

Some quick updates... I am now 25 years and 4 days old... hee... the feeling... quite sad tat I have lived on earth for 1/4 century already...

Had a fun but tiring celebration... lots of preparation to do... been quite busy the whole wk, sourcing for food... gg market, preparing the food etc... but seeing those lovely smiles on my frenz' faces, and comments that the food were yummy... I invented the bacon with golden mushroom and response was quite good... so our hard work gets paid off... and lovely presents from my frenz and family... really felt so thankful that we are all still in close contacts... esp TPJC Choir... we'll nv fall apart... Really enjoyed myself...

booked the chalet at Pasir Ris Costa is a BIG mistake... the place is really v old... and not nice to slp at all... the bed queeks in the night when dear and me flipped our body... the air con went "kong kong kong" every 30min... and we didnt really slp well the whole night...

Initially, I thought that this will be my last single birthday, but it is not... sorry to those who kena cheated by me... We had set the solemnization date to be april 13 2011 and dear's mum says its close to qing ming next yr... so postpone to June... I had forgotten the date... I think its June 29 or something... will update again when the date is fixed... we have yet to choose the venue too... we're still checkng out a few places... some places only allow booking 3 mths in adv...

So this means that I will be cel my last single birthday next yr... Again!!! haha... prob wont hold a chalet again coz its really so tiring... Prob go on a bday trip... like HK or taiwan...

realise tat everyone around me are getting married... Congrats to Apple who just got her proposal ring... and Tang has fixed her dates and Bali Trip... many many wedding bells ringing this year... My boss is getting married in July, and Tracy in Nov... Suting in Oct...

Happy New Year to Everyone
Today is the last day of CNY… Oops… wait until last day then blog…
Welcome to the Year of Tiger… not forgetting we are older by another year… Was so afraid of the year of ox coz it reminds us that we were 24 already… and becoz of the “fan tai sui” thingy… we were unlucky for the while yr… and yes!!! We survived thru all the unluckiness, and now… We are safe… no more “fan tai sui” this yr.., and making money!!! Thru Mahjiong… yeah~ won some $30+ during MJ session with Jinli, Darryl, Glenn and Han…
Went visiting the 1st day… didn’t go to much places as we cannot go to most people’s house… esp those “bang dang” (superstitious) ones… so didn’t get much ang bao…
Stayed at home on 2nd and 3rd day… coz dear went m’sia for visiting… it’s a good time for me to rest before I start my hectic work again on the 4th day… so we didn’t cel Vday on Vday itself… Watched many shows.. “xia yi zhan xing fu” (Autumn’s concerto) and “hai pai tian xin”… Personally I feel that Autumn’s Concerto is much nicer… very touching and makes me cry… the song is very nice… I love the song “wo ai ta” by Ding Dang… “Hai pai” is not bad too… and coz Jean’s bday party theme is to dress up like da lang or chen bao zhu… so I got to watch the show to know what to wear…
Lao Yu sheng for 5 times throughout these 15 days… with family, colleagues, frenz… I just love yusheng… I feel that it is a healthy food becoz of the amount of vegetables… but not sure if it really is…
Went to Eric and Celest’s house warming and baby shower on the 7th day of CNY… the baby is so cute… and we made a canvas photo for them… been tinking of what to buy and we feel that it is very meaningful… will post the pic later on…

Proposal Plan

I wanna bitch abt my proposal... yupz... I've got the diamond that I wante... 0.5 carat, F color Polaris Ice from Soo Kee... Maybe many ppl will envy me... but I realli duno if this shd be sth to be happy about... or this is just the beginning of my new life... or prob the ending of everything...

How I got my Polaris...it doesnt come easy... coz dear does not have much $$... so for him to spend so much $$ to buy me the diamond of my dream... is realli not easy... thanks dear for everything... hope this is not too much for u to bear...

but the whole thing abt this proposal... is not the ideal proposal tat i always wanted... sweet... lovely... romantic... even if its juz a simple dinner... and some surprising old gimmicks that every guy has used before... it doesnt matter... juz a gd and unforgettable one will do...

However, the whole thing is in a messed... and right now... I do not know if we're realli getting married... firstly, he told me that he has no $$ to buy me 0.5 carat one... and will substitute it with a crystal one... but then the ring tat I received was a plastic one from Chameleon... worth $6.90... I was very disappointed becoz I tried my best to give him the best that I could, but I hate to believe that this is the best he could offer me... and its the incorrect size... so... cannt wear... and it wasn't for me to wear... juz for me to keep... so will u keep it???

probably this sounds like a brillant idea to disappoint me at 1st, then gife the real one to make me happier... but nah~not true... all that disappointment showed on my face has disappointed him as well... and the disappointment he received from me was much more than the disappointment I had in him.... he's utterly disappointed that value of the gift is very important to me... and maybe he tot tat finalli he saw my true colors... and that he is giving 2nd tot about our marriage... supposed to be a happi moment... and it became moment of silence, moments of disappointment, moments of regrets... moments of arguments... moments of much unhapiness...

Now, Im beginning to get worried that everything, including our r/s will soon be a history... and all that I am holding onto now will be just another dream...

we promise to forget all these... I am trying... and it doesnt hurt me so much anymore after 1 wk... thats why I finalli decided to blog abt it... and I'm not sure if he feels the same way... if he could forgive and forget... I couldn't really forget that this proposal affects us so much... and suppose to be a brillant idea became a test to our r/s...

Although its a bit late, 2 wks into year 2010... and I survived... lots of plans to do in year 2010... major events of the year is... I got my flat!!! and need to go to HDB to pay deposit for my flat... choose the units... so must choose carefully to avoid choosing the bad units... ur queue no is 270/343 units... so chances quite high that we can still get a gd one... hope those ppl in front of us give up and go and ballot for the other BTO in Queensway... I must say the flats there are much prettier (from the pic) but its too ex...

so the next qn from my frenz is: You're getting married? How he propose?
I'm not getting married yet coz its not required to ROM until the flat comes in 3-5yrs time... so no hurry... we target 11 Nov 2011 ROM, and 12 Dec 2012 for customary... but I think not easy to get the dates, since everyone will wan to get married on the same dates as us... well~ we shall see~ He has not propose yet... and I haven seen my 0.5 carat diamond ring...

lots of savings needs to me done, for the new flat, for wedding... wedding plans? is it too early to tink now? But I'm pretty excited... to source for them now... but I shant be impulsive... I nearly bought a tempur bed and asked them to deliver like 2 or 3 yrs later... a bit too kua zhang right? but 50% is really a gd deal... but thats me... alays very impulsive when i heard the word "sale"... cant wait to dash into the shop...

Just bought air tix to Penang in Jul... Toger air is having promotion and I paid abt $350 for the whole family, including dear... only $70 per pax, including taxes... so very cheap... cant wait to book all the places like phuket, Krabi etc... Langkawi & Ho Chi Minh tix are sold out already...

One of the happy events is Thomas has found his soon-to-be gf... single for 7 yrs? seeing them dating reminds me of the past... when dear and I were dating too... hee...

I'm gonna get a promotion soon... I hope... results shd be out soon... in 2 wks time... and bonus!!! not sure how much I'm getting, but hope its a gd one... I have already rewarded myself with my new hp, N97 and bought one for dear for Vday gift as well... n ukimono... I traded in my uzap for $60 off to get a brand new ukimono... liked the kneading action... act like a massager...

New year resolution is to slim down asap... shed off as much fats as possible, work hard and get another promotion next yr... not sure if we have multiple promotions in a year... have a team of my own... have a happy family... and save up and work towards our future tog...

Merry Christmas to all... dear and I decided to save some $$, and maybe not easy to find restaurants or even parking lot to eat a meal... so we decided to have picnic at Yishun Dam... very windy... i cooked chicken wings, spaghetti, pork chop, salad... yummy... who says can only eat good food in restaurants??? lol... counting down in the big wind... realli nice... juz the 2 of us...

maybe going to do this for New Year Eve too...

Juz came back from 2 bday celebration... cel mummy's 62nd bday today... actualli to me onli 60yrs old... coz Im the ang mo pai... but she's the chinese pai one... duno how they count aso... anyway... Happy Bday to Mummy... Love ya lots... thank you for taking care of me for the past 24 yrs... Hope she's going strong and many yrs ahead...

Bought a lovely strawberry shortcake from Bakerzin... very ex but v nice... Choc cake are too boring... my new fav cake now is strawberry shortcake...yippie!!! steamboat lunch at Chong Qing steamboat at tanglin shopping centre... the food is really gd... very fresh... and we booked the VIP room for 12 pax... another family gathering after grandma passed away... sometimes while I was waiting for bus, I'll tink of her... and tears start rolling down my cheeks... she's always in my heart... in our heart... we missed her food, missed her naggings... missed gathering at her place... missed everything abt her... we'll nv forget her... our dearest gandma...

Mummy is v happy today... maybe one of the biggest bday celebration ever... she always dun like crowds... and too shy for such celebrations... but we're going to make this a tradition... now tat grandma is not around, there's not much bondings in the family... only left we 2 family that are still close tog.. we shd meet up often... as long as Mummy is happy... I bought Mummy a diamond + pearl set... pendant + earrings... cost me a BOM... i received the credit card bill... faint~ but as long as she likes it... we dun mind spending $$...

I realise I duno how to spell "Laptop" and I spelt it as "labtop"... ok.. all along i tot it was "labtop" until when I really wan to get a new laptop... and I posted on the personal msg on my msn and my colleagues told me its "laptop"... sigh~ bad eng... to tink that i still teach eng... hee..

I finally bought my dream laptop... HP Pavilion dv3 series with the nice lighted HP logo when I on the notebook... I did consider getting MAC, ASUS, DELL, ACER, ASUS... and finally narrow down to HP and ASUS... and finally... I tink i still love HP... damn pretty... all black with glossy keyboard... very nice to type... and I love the design... and of coz the logo...

cant wait to start using so I'm now blogging using my new notebook... Lots of freebies from Harvey Norman.. add 2 yrs warranty, free anti virus for a yr, free laptop bag, mouse, add 2 GB Ram... yeah~... and graphic card...

All money went to the doc… sigh… I’ve seen 4 doc in a wk… and 5 times… in a wk… sigh~ I hate this rashes…

Didn’t recover after last Mon… but I went to work on tue… and was very itchy… MC on wed… seen another doc (near my hse) and he says I got slight fever… so gave me med… and thurs was horrible… swollen face… (couldn’t recog myself)… and I went back to the same doc again…
I actually fainted in the clinic while waiting for my turn… yucks… I was semi conscious (close to unconscious)… only rmb many ppl came to carry me… and I was awake on the bed in the doc room… so paiseh… and the doc again says I got fever… gave me some med to bring down the fever… rested and dear came to fetch me home…

Been slping… wake up… n do work… Boss not ard… only left me n PP… PP hopefully is coping well… maybe have to make her work under stress… got to lias with customer and stuffs… hard time working with all the itch… cant stand it…

Not sure why still haven recover on Fri… MC again… 3 days continuously… I dun feel like gg to work… but I dun wan to fall sick too… all the medicine makes me drowsy… and all I can do is slp… n scratch… swollen limbs… and swollen lips… eeks… Mummy brought me to see the TCM… I dun really trust TCM actually but no harm giving it a try… and yes.. Its USELESS!!! Juz as expected… keep saying I’m very heaty and make me drink all the yucky liang teh… 3 bowls boil into 1 bowl that kind…. Eeks… but got to tolerate.. but still didn’t recover…
Dear brought me to A&E on sat evening… waited for 2 hrs… got my blood tested… dengue negative… its Urticaria… but still duno the cause of it…

Bad Bad Bad... Swollen single eye lids... duno why but down with rashes... didnt feel like gg to work but my boss went on leave n lots of shipment n reports... so no choice... got to go... but eyes was very heavy...n tired coz i cant open my eyes fully... damn uncomfortable.. n v itchy... esp the neck area... lucky dear is not workig... came to fetch me in the noon... bring me to see doc... result: allergy or sensitive skin... but din say allergic or sensitive to what??? half day MC... feel v restless n tired... took a long deep nap... and feels v gd now...

had a fun day yesterday... v happening weekend.. went to dear's colleague's hse for hari raya lunch... fulling and nice bryani... the rice is v fragrance... n yummy... juz a bit spicy (i cant take spicy food now)... so onli eat the chicken n scrape away the chilli... eat from 3-5pm... slowly enjoying the nice food.. mutton is a bit too hard thou'... meet lots of his other colleagues... gd gathering for him...

after tat was my gathering with jun, pw and lisi... passed jun her pressie... hope she likes it... i find it v "jun" when I 1st saw it... n was within our budget... so I bought it... i tink she will like it... dinner at Turkish restaurant at shaw towers... the food is nice... my 2nd time eating turkish food but 1st time was lousy... i tink ate it at eastpt... but i like the ambience of this restaurant... v romantic feel... **** thumbs up...

desserts at ah chew dessert... was v crowded but we managed to get a small table at a corner... blur jun left her pressie at ah chew dessert... we were at iluma when I realise tat she was empty handed... i tot she left it with pw... but she didnt.. oops... at ah chew dessert... so lisi n her went back to look for it... lucky it was still there... the ppl there keep it for her... lucky Jun... if not haven wear then lost liao...

had fun @ iluma... played the hopping game... hop until v tired... I was leading at 1st the jun last min hop faster n overshot me... b'day gal got 1st!!! v tiring thou'... dear catch 2 UFO stuff toys... we're all in luck last night... went back with 2 cute toys... so excited when we were catchingthe toys... everyone was surrounding us... n we wanted to gif up coz its not tat easy to catch... but we managed to catch the pig... so cute... spent $20 catching tat... but the whole process was v fun... so exciting...

actualli I juz went for seafood feast last sun... with dear, thomas, kenneth and claire... ordered 3 crabs. BIG ones... and druken prawns... yummy... desert was claire's homemade choc cake... taste... not bad.. a little too hard... can be improved... but as long as it melts kenneth's heart... hee... was very very full and still wanted to eat more desert... so we went to liang seah street for more deserts... I love sweet stuffs...

dear made a story out for him: once upon a time, there is a little boy who got a GO pass to Titanic... he bought a brillant rose pendant from Soo Kee and wanted to board the Titanic... Titanic accepted the Brillant Rose necklace and threw him out into the sea... Poor boy was swimming in the big sea and here come a small sampan... sampan offer to give him a ride back to the shore, but he feels that the sampan is too small... so he continue to swim in the big ocean, awaiting for his Titanic.... BUt NOW!!! he got no more energy and was drowning... so he's gg to call the sampan back again... he wants to get up the sampan... so he's going to get Celestial from Goldheart to recapture sampan's heart... will the sampan take him back? I think so~

I’m now sitting on the balcony of my chalet room at Berjaya Langkawi Resort… facing the semi sea view from my room… the room is quite nice indeed but upgrading to premier chalet cost additional 280RM per day… forget it… this is gd enuff…

had a day of fun yesterday… driving around the wrong directions… all thanks to the stupid car rental guy who keep asking us to turn left…

Let me briefly summarize what we did yesterday, Day 1 of our trip… kor sent us to airport in the morning at abt 10am… our flight is 1230pm… and we reached Langkawi Airport at 1.55pm… our flight is full… probably due to school holidays… many parents brought their kids here… and lots of ang mohs too… alight from the plane and headed to rent a car (recommended by corde)… lucky we rented the car coz we dun really see taxis around… taxi cost us 230RM for 4 days… it’s a small car… duno whats the name of the car… but its new and air con is quite powerful… and we thought that its worth it…. Abt 60RM per day, we can drive around the island… it’s a small island indeed, so even if we drove the wrong directions, it took is 20min to drive back…. The cars here are very little and ppl are very friendly… and the cars drove damn slowly… guess the locals lead a very carefree lifestyle… so when I came here, I’m still not so used to the slow lifestyle here… trying to get used to it… by the time I’m used to it, its time for me to bid goodbye to this little island…

Racky some places yesterday and release that shopping here is not really possible coz we went to Langkawi Fair shopping centre, which is the island’s largest shopping centre, and there’s nth for me to buy… perhaps i should utilize my money somemore else… like snorkeling or water sports… I’m gonna spend one day snorkeling.. that’s tomorrow… yeah~~ going to book the sessions today… yippie~ I keep thinking that its such a waste not to snorkel here…

Had a sumptuous dinner last night… fresh live fish, and mantis… and well cooked squid deep fried with curry powder… really yummy… I ate a lot coz dear’s down with toothache again… time for him to extract his other wisdom tooth… its badly decayed…and I’m kinda worried abt my teeth too… I’m paranoid abt it… dear always calls me paranoid kid… hee… I dreamt that all my molar and wisdom tooth dropped all tog… eeks… scary… I dun wan to be “bo gay”… I shall brush my teeth properly in future… no more lazy~

The sun is finally out, it rained earlier on… I’m gonna wake dear up and go for a swim before we head down to the town… plans for today is Cable Car, Underwater World, and night market in the later evening…

Woke up a little bit later today… din wanna get out from the cosy bed even thou’ I’m already awake at 6.39am… dear gave me a kick and I realize I’m slping towards his side… maybe he’s gg to drop off the bed… hee…

We did very interesting things yesterday… been contemplating btw snorkeling, jet ski and sunset dinner cruise… we wanted to do it today but sunset dinner cruise is not available on Sundays… dear was kinda unhappy coz I insisted on going out to sea… Its an opportunity for us to enjoy the sea instead of staying onshore… snorkeling means the whole day burnt… 9am to 5pm… too tiring and I’ll just become “chao tar” after tat… jet ski is not too worth it as its only for 30min… so I decided… SUNSET DINNER CRUISE on Crystal Yatch… we drove back to hotel to prepare ourselves… wore my bikini… and bringing extra clothes… the van picked us up at 4pm… and off we go… the weather wasn’t very gd… it rained along the way to the Yatch club… we were kinda worried that we couldn’t enjoy the sea… but lucky it stopped when we were on board… we got on a speedboat which bring us to our Yatch… really fun… but the sea of too rough and dear and I were abt to puke… but we didn’t… when we reached the big sea, they lower the net for the Salt Water Jacuzzi… wonder what it is… look at the pictures… its really cool… except I nearly drowned thanks to the Jap tourist who keep stepping on the net while I was trying to go back on board for my dinner… yucky old man… the sea is beautiful… the sea waves brushing across my back and acts as a Jacuzzi… I didn’t wanna get out from the water…

Dinner was so so only… bbq chicken, satay, salad, pasta, fruits and little yummy cakes… free flow of drinks, wine, beer, soft drinks etc… sprite lime was very gd… now I learnt that sprite lime helps to prevent seasick… the ppl made one for me and dear… if not we would have emptied our dinner from our stomach… the return journey was very horrible… but I did enjoy the sunset… took many pictures to show Pang when I’m back… too bad there’s no free wireless here, if not I can upload my pic onto FB… I duno if dear enjoys this but I do… and Happy Birthday to dear… today is his 27th birthday… But I was too disappointed with our supper that I forget to wish him when the clock reaches 12mn… maybe I was too tired too…

Other places of attractions we went earlier yesterday… Langkawi cable car… realli nice view from the hill top and the suspension bridge… abt 700m above sea level… wow… but have to climb all the way down to the bridge, and then all the way up again… time to shed some fats and loose some weights… I saw one auntie that was fatter than dear and was panting and sweating when she climbed down the hill… then how is she gg to climb back??? Seems like mountain trekking… with uneven steps… Langkawi cable car is 30RM per person…

We drove to underwater world but we didn’t go in… the underwater world was nothing fantastic… Heard from dear’s colleague… and it cost 38RM… not worth seeing I think… if any underwater world is lousier than Singapore’s Underwater World…. Then I think shouldn’t waste my time and money…

Moved on for lunch… lunch was great!!! Very cheap and very nice food… juz simple wanton mee, prawn mee and chicken rice at 4RM each… best meal here… not forgetting the delicious seafood dinner the pervious day… we tried another one last night and it was horrible… prawns wasn’t realli fresh, tasteless soup… no more tries… we’re going back to the same restaurant for dinner tonight… live groupa… I’m gg to order lobster if I still have cash…

Going for a swim later… the pool is pretty and I’m gg to have a stroll along the beach before going out to Kuah town in the afternoon…

I’m back in Singapore Changi Airport… At T3 Swensens now… having my lovely dinner… Singapore food is still the best… and even thou’ I’ve been eating seafood for the past few days, I still have cravings for Singapore seafood… it’s a different taste… different way of cooking… and 30% off if I order before 5pm… with free salad bar… so full now.. tats why I decided to sit for a while before heading home…

Wanna buy liquor, limited edition vodka… and realize tat I cant buy becoz we came back from Langkawi… why??? Confused… but din wanna probe further…

Yesterday, after swimming, we went to the beach… some ppl were playing with jet ski and I tot maybe we should gif it a try too… but still didn’t play in the end… went back to our room for a bath and off we go to the town… went to breakfast bar for lunch and it was closed… too bad… went again today… missed the prawn noodles and wanton mee… drove to Kuah town… and the jetty… wanted to buy a carlo rino bag but still didn’t buy… spent too much money this month… visited the Eagle Square.. nice view from there… and walked around the jetty…

Dinner at Tong Xin Yuan… the Chinese seafood restaurant that we ate on Saturday night… fresh garoupa… and Giant prawns… realli very big ones… and fried sotong again… the whole meal cost abt 120RM… worth the value… there’s this family which goes there almost everyday… must be well-to-do locals living on the island…

Sad… I missed the sea… and the sun… I will be back again…

looking forward to my Langkawi trip... planned for very long... thou' its still malaysia... but im pretty excited.. realli looking forward to it... hotels booked... now waiting for time to pass... maybe i shd do some research on where to go... anyway wanna place any orders for souvenoirs? but seriously, i duno whats there to buy... if u realli do, juz pm me...

as realli angry, sad n disappointed yesterday... maybe coz im having pms now... my student didnt do my hw, and even tell me "you got gif me hw meh?" not tat i wanto throw my temper but I seem to be more gan jiong than her... she dun feel any stressed. Monday is the CA2 and she haven even touched her sci TB, n the assessment book tat i bought for her... then she complained that I gif her too much hw...but if she tried to do (i dun see any efforts), maybe i wont be so pissed... not even a single page, or even a single qn was done... and when i asked her to do it, she simply juz guessed... or totally have no idea whats the topic is all abt... so I told myself, not worth it to extend any longer... then I asked her what she did yesterday... she answered, "GO TO MY FREN HSE"... then i asked "Do what?" and the ans was "PLAY LOR"...

I sacrificed my weekend to help her n wanna go thru some qns with her, but if she dun care... I shall not be bothered... 1.5hrs up... time for me to go... I've done my duty to teach her as much as I could during this 1.5hrs... I've accomplished my job... time for me to go...

Dear gave me a surprise early in the morning... he ordered flowers from Seasons Gift... with the pooh pooh family... so cute... pooh, piglet, tigger and eyeore... sitting on a cart, tog with a box of choc... and a big bouquet of flowers... so pretty... didnt expect this coz he keep saying he's not getting pressie for me... bluff me one... humph...

I gave a presentation to my fellow colleagues about what I learnt from a seminar... took 3 days to prepare the slides... no time to do... lucky boss left early... so not that presurizing... managed to complete in half an hr... then cleared some things and took cab to dear's home... his hse's door bell is not working... i stood outside the door for 10min tinking that its working... then finalli i called dear to open the door... he tot i bluff him.... but then when he opened the door... my 2 pooh pooh stood in front of him... SURPRISED!!!

poor dear dear went to extract wisdom tooth... so cant eat many food... we went to Miss U Cafe as planned... nice ambience and the waiter is ery polite... tink he's from vietnam or philippines... very nice chap... if i ever open a restaurant, i will hire him... (as if)

Limited edition Pooh Bear... the owner caught it at the UFO machine, wanted to give it to his gf... but now... became ex gf liao... so he's selling them to be at $40... tot its pretty cute... so I bought to for darling... so sweet of me right??? been tinking what to give him for 2nd yr Anniversary, which is tomorrow... this gift should be better than anything else... hope he likes it...

looking forward to tml... time realli passed very soon... more than 2 yrs ago, I was still struggling in a r/s that will not bring me to a gd ending... all quarrels and no blissful, yet I bit on to pull through... but thank goodness it failed... couple of mths later, I started a new r/s with not much hope in it... I don't dare to say I'm full of hope in my this current r/s... but I can say I'm much more happier than ever... Never been so good... But of coz, there are the sorrows part... some quarrels occassionally...

seeing friends around me getting married, sometimes I really wonder when will it be my turn... or rather, will me turn ever come??? Malacca Trip

I'm back from Malacca and JB... short trip over the weekend and extended till Monday for more shopping... tog with dear, kenneth and thomas... initially was only thomas n us... but then kenneth says he's keen since he didnt go Malacca before... great trip except dear's toothache... time to see extract his wisdom tooth... no more wisdom already la... haha...

Day 1: wake up at 5am... left home at 6am to pick thomas n kenneth up... breakfast in JB... couldnt check into Puteri Pacific because they dun allow check in at 8am... so off we go to malacca... reached there abt 10am...

went to the temple to pray and take some "holy" water... to wash car plate... tot will strike 4D... haha... but still didnt la... its well water... so very pure but i dun dare to drink...

Drove to the city... Parked our car and walked around the city area... went around to take photos... dear brought his super big, and new cam along... canon 50D... with 18-200mm lens and very pro flash lights... but very heavy... hands gets tired easily after photoshoot... cost a bom... it cost $3.2k... ouch... pinch in the heart thou' im not paying for it...

lunch at this chicken rice restaurant... the rice is so yummy... melts in your mouth... highly recommended by Lee and Pang... Pang loves malacca coz its a gd place to take nice shots too... he's gg back again to take more pic since his last trip to malacca only lasted for 2 hrs...

meaningful trip... all walk n walk... legs tired... body tired... after Jonker Walk, ate sushi, chendol... n curry noodles... we returned back to the car and drove back to to JB...

Day 2: wake up at 8.30am... soaked myself in the bathtub with my strawberry bubble bath... its running out... gg to get new ones for Langkawi trip... yeah...
wake all of them up at 9.30am and breakfast at 9.45am... so very late... breakfast ends at 10am... but extended until 10.30am... this trip is meant to rest and slp... so after breakfast... everyone returns to our room and slp again... I watched my dvd until 2pm... and tried to wake the guys up at 3pm... swimming n jacuzzi... den went out for dinner... skipped lunch... and Im hungry... munched some biscuits...

wanted to go for jap food but the price is a bit pricey (same as SG)... so we went to seninbong for seafood dinner... ate "Da Tou" (duno whats tat call in eng), taste like mussels... and drunken prawns... fried rice, mee goreng, seafood dou fu... and sambal kang kong... the drunken prawns is my fav... yummy...

went to watch Transformers in city sq... dozz off inside the cinema for some of the parts... getting boring towards the end... but bumble bee is cute...

back to room to rest.... guys went out for supper... me??? wanna catch my beauty slp... its already 1.30am and they're gg out for supper...

Day 3: wake up abt the same time as the day before... tried to wake dear up... n the other 2 guys seems v tired... breakfast at 10am.... even later than the day before... rushed for breakfast... and back to room to rest... packed up and check out... it was drizzling when we checked out... took the shelter to City Square and start shopping...

did my manicure n pedicure, with hand and foot massage... very gd... 2 hrs... for 105RM... i love the color... and designs...paid extra for nail art and scrub...

back to SG after dinner at KFC... dear went to see dentist, had a x-ray done and gg to extract his wisdom tooth...

Haven been updating for abt a mth after my bday.. been bz at work and aslso dear didnt give me my bday pic until yesterday... and I've been sic for the past 2 wks... was on 1 mc for the whole of last wk... recovered and returned to work but still don't feel gd... aris recommended me to see the TCM... the doc says im suffering from side effects of antibiotics but it has been a wk plus... i still dun feel very well... and i wake up damn early... like 5,6am... and feels tired early too... keep feeling nausea (im not pregnant)...i juz tink maybe sth's wrong with my stomach or I have gastrics... sigh~ hopefully i can recover fully soon...

forget abt my sickness... let me update my bday at Sentosa Chalet...

checked into the chalet at 4pm on 24th May... then my family arrived at abt 5plus... the room is damn small and imat a lost coz suddenly so many ppl came... so we decided to start the fire early so that we can end early... they didnt noe its for my bday... only told them its a small gathering... suddenly we love gathering since grandma passed away... having fun bbq... and juan and her bf came too... cut the cake at abt 9pm... coz everyone's tired and the next day is Monday... so have to end the day early... i love my cake... so big and pretty... and the heart shape on the sides... so nice and yummy... i love jack's place cake!!!

everyone left abt 9.30pm... then thomas, zixiang and kenneth came... they were shocked that its my bday... but had a gd session bbq-ing... i tink thomas is addicted to bbq... so the next day, he came back again... buying 2kg of prawns and chicken wings, and hot dogs to bbq again...

i woke up in the morning and went for breakfast with dear at delifrance... then zixiang ame to join us too... went to our room to have a rest, then he drop us somewhere to walk ard while he go back to work... he's working in sentosa... dear and I walked ard... like tourists... and we wanted to go underwaterworld... but we decided to go the next day after we checked out...

dinner at Rasa Sentosa Silver Shell Restaurant... international Buffet but i dun feel that its International lor... but got our fav tempura prawns... so we juz make do with what is there, since we're already there... the swimming pool is damn nice... much nicer than Coasta Sands... of coz la... its expensive to stay there too...

i woke up the next day Morning... and went for a swim alone... dear's still slping... have to check out at 11am... so must clean up the room and make sure we didnt left out anything... been contemplating if we shd go underwaterworld or go to JB... and finalli we decided to go JB... since its a weekday and traffic is less heavy... had lunch and dinner there, then came back home... didnt wanna stay out too late since we have to go back to work the next day...

saw jinli walking past the restaurant aso... on the phone with glenn... what a coincidence... i called him and he came into the restaurant while we were abt to cut the cake... took some pic with jun's camera...oops... i forgot to see sharon's aussie's pic... bring out again next time k... jinli's waiting for corde to knock off... and yeah... corde's driving.. so we hitch a ride on her car... she's working in dfs now... her job sounds fun... were stucked in a traffic jam for 30min... but we managed to do some catching up while waiting for the traffic to clear...

I juz came back from genting last wk... yah... genting again...its the duno how many times i went genting... and KL... and M'sia... haha...

din really enjoy myself coz i went with my family, and my cousins andtheir family... a total of 12 ppl... dear was supposed t be on reservist but he managed to get a deferment... so he drove up to look for me, tog with kenneth... realli nice to see them there... i still prefer traveling with dear and frenz... or my frenz... my parents n kor still ok, but extended families are a bit troublesome... problems with meals, some find it ex, some dun like the cuisine, some dun like the food... some dun even like shopping... thats the thing with traveling with a large group... u cant enjoy and walk anywhere u like... n many ppl gif u lots of different comments on what u shd buy/ what u shd not buy... messy and confused... thts why i always tink its best to travel with as little ppl as possible, and muz share the common interest, muz know how to compromise, and maybe similar character... its similar to shopping buddies... if u shop with someone who dun like to shop, and are not interested in shopping, then most likely, he or she will spoil ur day...

Been quite bz recently... haven been blogging for 2-3 wks i tink... why am i so busy??? becoz exams are coming and i got tuition like almost everyday... decided to gif myself a break on labour day... and kor's studying diploma in SIMM (singapore intitute of materials management). he's taking supply chain management... so i got to help him with his reports... i burnt 2 weekends at kallang leisure park starbucks and 6th ave centre tea party to finish a 19 pages report... i even went to the library to borrow books on logistics and purchasing...

im gg genting next wk... so i got to make full use of the weekends to teach my kid as much as possible... n i've started chem tuiton aso for my sec 4 TKGS gal... total of 4 lessons b4 her exams... last min drilling... hope she can make it... she's quite clever thou'... im sure she can get A1 again this time...

lets do some refresh on what i did last few wks...

last wk was kok thai's wedding... the wedding was held at keppel club... had a bad experience at serangoon country club previously... so i got not much expectations of this keppel club... when i reached, i realised tat i went there to play golf b4 with eddy... but tats many yrs back...

anyway peony jade restaurant at keppel club is really nice... the food is nice... the place... v chinese, v traditional... but overall, the food is the most impt... and of coz bride and briegroom are the main characters...

its a very diff wedding... the bridegroom went ard kissing ppl... kissing his brothers... he's v drunk and totally lost his mind... he went around asking ppl to take pic with him... and telling ppl tat its his big day... guess he's really looking forward to this day for v long... the video was a vry long one... from how he propose to his wife and the games they played on the wedding day... they cut 2 holes in the bra and put milk bottles inside for the bridegroom to drink... damn funny... but can see that he really loves his wife a lot... really envy when ppl get married... wonder when's my turn... seriously, sometimes, i yearn to get married...

went to lai chye's chalet 2 days before kok thai's wedding... bbq... and i found a khaki to play NDS... his wife aso has one... and i got to know some of the nice games... played her NDS n notedown those nice games... hee... im g to play the games...

work has been not very smooth coz my very blur colleague... i tink she has no heart to work.. . careless... absent minded... but then, she resigned... maybe its a gd thing... i'll pick up more things meanwhile before my boss found the new gal...

was looking forward to a long weekend... coz fri was gd fri... but need to go temple to pray... time reali passed... grandma had left us for 49 days... and today will be the 51st day... sob... we bought lot of things for her... bags, jewelleries, money of coz... and bungalow... with swimming pool... but she realli receive it? can the hse be stayed? really not very sure... but then juz believe tat things will be as per what we tot it will be... hope she's well...

had a fight with dear... coz i made him wait again... i cant help but tink of kelvin... that was the same familiar face that i used to see when he came to pick sis up... so is history going to repeat itself on me??? im having much phobia... and mine~ didnt expect things will turn out this way... disappointed was the word.. i always hope tat my bf is a understanding bf... understand me, understand my work... but then it turned out tat it was not... i was accused of making him stand and wait in the rain... and i cant leave office on time when eveyone had gone home becoz i had to get a quotation for my boss... he only came to me at 6pm... and i was abt to leave... so shd i tell him "sorry i need to go?"

so i stayed behind and sms dear, n i said sorry... but no much use... i didnt noe it was raining... n i didnt noe he wont seek shelter... as much as he was angry, i was angry too... and very sad abt it... anyway no matter how i explained, he wont listen... so i got on the bike... and off we go...

started pouring while we were on the way home... n he said "let u get the feel of being caught in the rain" and then another one "so the rain nice?" some other comments he made but didnt wanna listen... i dun wanna hear all those nasty comments from him... i didnt expect to hear all these from him... if being caught in the rain will ease his anger, i dun mind standing in the rain for 1 hr... if he really love to see me drenched in the rain, i'll do it... moreover im the one who made him wait for me in the rain... an eye for an eye... he stand for how long, i'll stand for how long... im juz disappointed that he actualli got so agitated over this incident... n he made it like i purposely came down late, and i asked the sky to rain... and i purposely made him wait for me in the rain... so am i happier seeing him getting drenched??? if i am... then fine with it...

i cried... very bitterly... for very long... i usually cry so bitterly when i was being wrongly accused... if im in the wrong, i'll apologise... but if im being wrongly accused, i will tink its my fault too... coz i failed to make him understand me... n i failed to make him trust me... in his heart, i am that kind of person... i really feel very sad...

i cant help but to have many doubts... many his love for me fades... maybe his tolerance towards me fades... i asked someone a few day ago, what made her wanna marry her husband??? does she have any phobia abt marriage... seeg many ppl with failed marriage... and sis's incident is a constant reminder to me... am i thinking too far? or tinking too much???

juz came back from chalet over the weekend... fri-sun... tiring... need to work tml again... monday blues~

tiring chalet coz i din get to slp a lot... or rather i slp n slp but still insufficient slp...

on leave on fri... shiok... went to grandma hse to pray... its grandma bday... if she's still with us we'll be cel her 87th bday for her... miss her a lot...

took bus 28 home and has a strange incident... one uncle juz fainted in the bus... i tink maybe stroke... and someone helped him up. his eyes were open but he seemed to be "frozen"... very stiff, blur and lost... everyone on the bus were at loss too... he suddenly fell down from his seat (he's sitting on the outer seat) onto the walk way in the bus... i was half dozzing off and listening to my mp3... then suddenly. i heard a loud "oooooooooohhhhhh"... the bus driver came down to take a look... everyone were very KPO aso... all look n look... so i aso look lor... the bus driver asked someone to cl the ambulance... then after a while, the uncle woke up... stood up and walked ard... i tink he wanna get down the bus but the bus driver refused... what if something happened to him? so he walked to the back of the bus and sat down... the bus driver followed him to the back and ask if he's ok... he didnt reply but stood up and walk back to the front (his original seat) and sat down again... the driver asked if shd still call the ambulance... we tink he shd la... juz i case sth happened to him again... so we got down the bus... the bus driver will wait for the ambulance to come... and i have to wait for the next one... whole trip from grandma hse to my hm took me 2 hrs.. cant believe it...

reached home, prepare for bbq food... i fried bee hoon... n dear is damn proud of me... coz my bee hoon is yummy... looks gd too... n my almond jelly is nice aso... not much almond smell... so dear aso eat some... overall rating, i gave myself 7/10 for bee hoon and jelly.. hee...

many ppl at the chalet... a fun celebration...all their sec sch frenz... i told dear this mth is a happy mth... coz many ppl's bday... Lai chai, thomas, keng teck... and kok thai's wedding... meet up this noon to tok abt kok thai's big day... cool!!! looking forward to tat day...

This weekend was my happiest weekend for or the whole mth... but im always happy over the weekends... except the weekend tat i fought with dear... been rather bz for the whole wk... and I've rewarded myself with a big diamond ring... oops... not tat BIG la... juz 0.2carat soliaire from Soo Kee Jewellery Warehouse sale... price? $349... my budget is $500.. tats the most i will spend on a diamond ring at the moment... 0.2arat maybe a bit small... but Im rather satisfied with it... reward myself for working for 11th mths... one more mth n tats one yr in Smartflex... how time flies... no pay increment of coz... coz of the economic crisis... but im glad i still got a job... to my frenz who are jobless, jia you...

dear is still very pissed off... he asked if i signed any package... n how long can i keep it from him??? so ya... i told him... n i've included him in part of the package as well... we can do spa pedicure tog... but ans from him is... wanna spend money, dun use me as excuse... i dun need any excuses for me to spend money... im spending my own money... n i rmb him saying "im not spending ur money what!" so this time round, im gonna say the same... "im not spending ur mon too!"... hate to hear things like "if u no money, dun come n take from me!"... i have nv taken money from him... and i will not... my savings is enough for me to last or couple of mths if im out of job... and even if my savings ran out, my parents n bro will support me... unlike him... he got no savings at all... and no family support... angry!!! he becoming angry makes me feel damn pissed... money is nv a issue to me... even thou' i owed jeremy few thousands, i still perservered on and scrimp my way thru to clear all the debts...

and he said it... not gg to fetch me ard for facial n pedicure/ manicure anymore... well... then nth much to say... i hate it when things go this way.... den no more sponsor for petrol... i sponsored for petrol becoz he used to drive me ard, so i added to his burden... but then since he wanna make it so clear... then no more... i dun mind sponsoring it but then im juz not happy abt the way he tok to me... im gg to schedule all my mani/pedi n facial in the morning b4 he wake up... i dun wanna hear any more noise from him n grumbling abt coming to fetch me...

beginning to tink twice abt some things... having doubts... like sharing a car (thou' i cant drive)... i noe he's been wanting to have a nomal car (black plate) so that he can drive to work, dun have to wake up so early in the morning, and dun have to wit till 7pm to drive back... and he can maybe fetch me to work and drive me back too... maybe i tink too far... but im saving up and working towards tat goal... we dun need any posh car, juz a normal one like honda civic will do... if we share a car, cant possibly im still taking bus most of the time or even taking taxi right??? that means no diff from having a car, and no car... but cant rule out the possibility that one day, we will quarrel becoz he waited for me like yesterday... then no more fetches... unfair for me...

im having much phobia... i try all ways to avoid being ended up like my sis... but sometimes certain scenes seems familiar to me... i dun wanna compare kelvin with dear... but sometimes its unavoidable...
