last weekend was a short getaway from work... so dear drove me, kor and my parents to malacca... wanted to go by coach but the bus fare seems to be too steep... so ex... tog with Peng and his family ( his wife, glenda, auntie) and lucky got his wife's colleague who is a m'sian and she brought us around...
i tink its a rather boring place coz there's only 2 shopping centres and a night market... jonker street pasar malam... but the things there are cheap and unique... food wise, i tink not so gd too... too saltish... maybe im not used to it... we ate the kampong chicken with the rice ball... nth fantastic aso... but a lot of pl say its a MUST eat thing...

left home at 5.45am and meet Peng at petrol kiosk at 6.20am... drove to Tuas custom... hand a bit of jam so early in the morning... stopped by after a while for breakfast at abt 9am... den drove all the way to malacca... started to rain along the way... so we decided to head to the shopping centre... since we couldnt check into the hotel until 2pm... things are quite ex actualli... i onli bought a belt there... saw this salon with manicure and pedicure... mummy wanna do hair treatment and dear planned to cut his hair... so we decided to go back the next day since we got nth to do after we check out on Sun... Bought a Seiko watch for dad for his bday... quite cheap thou'
lunch @ Palawain Mall... eat at Old Town Cafe... I actualli had to resort to eating Nissin Noodles... sob~and kor they all eat nasi lemak... guess it shd be nice...
next stop is the San Bao Jing Temple... Jing=well... heard tat its a place with well water that wont flow out after the water level is to the brim... we found the well but its not open... fo some reasons i guess, they sealed it up... no well water? den how? we asked the old auntie there and she told us there is a tap at the backyard... they are so clever to connectthe well water to the tap, den we juz take the water from there... much safer!!! so dear took them to wash his car plate... heard tat will strike 4D... we aso took some in the mineral water bottle home...can wash kor's car plate, hse door plate, hp no?, hse phone... haha... everything tat one can link a no. to it... 4digits.... all can wash!!! kiasu singaporeans... but guess what!!! my dad actualli tot tat its water and gobbled the whole water up... so who is gg to strike 4D??? we'll see...
checked into Mahkota Parade Hotel after lunch... our room was quite ok... not as bad as i expected except the water is kinda brown... after letting the tap run for a while, it seems ok to use... but we dun dare to drink the water la... lucky we brought lots of water there... ours was a 2rm delux apartment... so dad and mum shared one rm with attached bathroom...me and dear took the other... poor kor has to slp in the living rm... luckily i brought a slping bag for kor... feel so sorry to make him on sofa...
i went swimming at the pretty swimming pool... with jacuzzi... so cool~ meet them at 4pm to go shopping again... shopped the whole of Mahkota Parade Shopping Centre... the shoes are so ex... 60-80RM... but got so many soft toys there... and so cheap... so me and kor bought some back... Mummy was saying so big liao still buy so many...
headed to Jonker Street night market... passed by the old church which is abt 300yrs old... and the national museum... police station... long history for malacca...buildings are all few hundreds yrs old... guess what... i actualli bought uno cards, and something like uno stacko... realli cheap though its fake ones... but can play can liao la...
stopped by to eat durian chendol... not so nice... tink not sweet enuff... abt 10pm... we had already finished the whole night market... and aso the whole of malacca... or i shd say the town of malacca... returned to hotel.. wash up... damn tired and tot of soaking myself in the bathtub... after running the tap for a while... the water is brown again... omg.... i dun dare to soak la... onli dare to soak my tired feet... watched show on dear's labbie... and then soon i fell aslp... kor still say wanna eat supper... he knocked out earlier than me la...
woken up the next day by loud conversation... went breakfast w/o dear coz he wanna slp more... breakfast was... so so onli... went back to rm... woke dear up and dragged him to the pool with me... went back at 10am... bathed and checked out at 11am... meet Peng they all at the lobby... they stayed at Holiday Inn... juz opp us...
went back to the 2 shopping centres again... (only 2 out of the 2)... did my mani/pedicure, with nail art.... everything is 80RM... mum did her hair treatment for 59RM and dear cut his hair.. i tink 28RM...
meet them for lunch at Newton Food Centre... like a food court... but things are much nicer... den headed to buy San Shu Gong Ma Ti Su... head tat its damn famous... and i spent 80RM there... bought mua chi and a lot of ma ti su... and lao po bing too...
i didnt spend much though i changed $350... which made up to abt 800RM... after spending everything, including petrol and toll charges, im left with 287RM...
drove back to sg at abt 4pm... stopped by some pasar malam to take a walk along the way... bought mangosteen and dragon fruit... cheap... mangosteen is 3kg for 10RM... damn cheap and yummy...
dinner at one of the R&R place... nth much to eat so we eat at KFC...
but we were stucked in the jam for 1.5hrs... home sweet home at 11pm... sleepy...
